PRD-AH70

Pressure Relief Device for 70 MPa Hydrogen Fuel Cells

A pressure relief device for 70 MPa hydrogen fuel cells, the first worldwide to meet a global standard. The pressures of the operating parts are in equilibrium while supplying hydrogen. This means that they are not affected by the pressure inside the cylinder and operate stably at a wide range of pressures. In an emergency, the fusible alloy melts and safely releases the gas inside.

  • [Functions]
Compatible with high-pressure hydrogen cylinders and valves at pressures of up to 87.5 MPa. Its safety feature safely releases the gas inside in an emergency.

Features

  • Since the pressures of the operating parts are in equilibrium, they are not affected by the pressure inside the cylinder and operate stably at a wide range of pressures from high to low.
  • In case of abnormal temperature rises such as in fires, the fusible alloy melts to operate the pressure relief device.
  • No stress is placed on the fusible alloy, and this prevents creep and deformation of the alloy and achieves extremely high durability.
  • Uses a lead- and cadmium-free fusible alloy, meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive.
  • Certified to Global Technical Regulation No. 13 and UNECE Regulation R-134.
